....Caggiula and Rieder are with the team on the road trip, and might possibly be given the chance to play...wonder who will come out of the lineup and off the roster...given the payroll is so tight to the salary cap, could a trade be coming???...
....three games in four nights in three different cities..obviously Koskinen won't play all three games....guessing that Talbot plays the middle game in Winnipeg, leaving Koskinen to continue his hot streak at home....
....Colorado is a very good team....7-2-1 in their last 10 games, but coming off a 7-1 loss in Tampa Bay....
....In Hitchcock we trust....hope the old guy can pull another rabbit out of his hat tonight....

What record do the Oilers have to have under Hitch for me to let my guard down a bit?
7-2-1 and I'm still hesitant about getting super hyped.
Is it the past 12 years that have ruined my positive outlook? Am I just waiting for that expected meltdown?
At least I have been enjoying the games, and not going to bed seething mad like in the past season and a bit with TMc Hockey.

While I'm on board with stopping the Avs, if they HAVE to score, I'm okay with Rantanen getting points. Injuries are threatening to derail a pretty decent hockey pool team, and Mikko and Kucherov are really all that's holding me in the race right now...soooo, how about a 4-3 win, with 4 McPoints, and a hat trick for Rantanen?

I traded PK Subban for Rantanen a week into the season. It's a points based pool but we have to dress 4 D a night, this guy needed good D but if it's points based who cares. In the group chat everyone said I got fleeced, one guy claimed "you can pick up 55 point wingers off waivers, they are a dime a dozen!" not knowing that Rantanen was over PPG last season. These guys are Flames fans so they don't really know much outside Johnny Crappy and Mona-Sloth.

I know we’re getting off topic here; but how good has Elias Lindholm been for those two? Man. I snagged Lindholm in the 12th round of my draft and he’s been absolute fire.

Listening to Hitch’s pre-game, he’s going to try something called “getting the puck on your forehand” during power plays. What a strange notion! I’ve always enjoyed us setting up for slow backhand slap shots! It allows us to keep our coach’s favourites on the ice even when they shoot the wrong way. After all, it’s not their fault they were born left Handed!
