I am sick of Talbot and giving up a goal on the first shot of each game. Hope we can sign bubrovsky. Drop talbot get a cheap backup and fix another major issue.

I see the Oil really are trying to get TMac canned. Good- the sooner Joel comes in, the better.

Second shot, I think he gave up a fat rebound didn't he? This year hasn't been a whole lot different than last year for Talbot. Some good but more mediocre or less.

Yep, rebound control was the issue there but he DID stop the first shot.

McDavid was the closest one to the completely uncovered goal scorer. Not sure if it was his man or if he was covering up for someone else though,

You’re probably right I was on the road listening on Chex. After the first game against NJ I was ready to bench him for the year. It’s like trying to swim with a rock around your neck.

The early stops are critical. It's like they're already down 1 while the anthems are still going.

Lifetime oiler fan....it's all I know. But f me running. This coach....brutal. This GM... embarrassing. There is a top notch coach who just came available on the market. Your team's just pooped the bed the last 3 games, and now heading into period 2 of game 4, your goalie has hand cuffed you twice. This is what you do, and you do it now. You pull Talbot and he rides the pine until December. While he rides the pine, you shop the heck out of him hoping some GM hasn't seen his NHL record for allowing the most goals on the first shot of the game. While riding your 2.5 mill unproven GM shopping spree, and he s playing decent, you can your "haven't won a damn thing" head coach and beg, plead, cough up your first born to get coach Q to come save this sinking heap of stinking garbage. Once he s signed, and coach "gum chew" is gone, and you've traded your sieve starter, you go and barracade yourself in the GM office and wait for your termination papers. You allow Connor McDavid to hold a presser saying, bout time...while promising to take this team to the promise Land. Then, you do whatever is allowed under the cba to get out from under Lucic s albatross. If you ve completed these tasks, then congratulations....you re on your way to becoming a respectable NHL team.

How can every game Talbot starts be the same? It's not just him, this team is just in full panic mode at the start of games too when he is in net.

If this was beer league, and I knew the guy going in net usually (95%) of the time, let's in the first goal on the first shot, then we re playing full blown tire fire till fate takes ahold.

After every goal when the camera pans the bench the coach is always staring at his “who to blame” tablet instead of talking to his bench.

Some players aren’t getting the family car tonight.

So, does management twiddle their thumbs as another season with McDavid goes down the toilet? 7 left to give McDavid a reason to stick around, if he's patient enough to not ask for a trade.

Dont forget "the first game back from a road trip is always the toughest" as was mentioned at least twice in the first period alone.

Nice to see the Oilers giving the Av players a huge confidence boost. Five losses in a row, it was really starting to wear on them I'm sure. It's what we do best. This team is bad, not sure even Quenville could salvage something out of this mess. Stellar goal tending would go a long ways to improving things though and it's not likely to come from Talbot.

Mcdavid looks...dare I say it...human. And when he does look human like the last couple games the team has zero chance of getting points out of a game.
