Sucks that we didn't see #51 for Leon, but I'm so happy that Gaudreau gets stopped.

Now, we wait to hear how bad it is with Connor. Hopefully a clean break.

Probably was a clean break. Then they got him to walk on it and it exploded :)

Gio gets away with it. Kostawin plays the best he has in a while, or the Flamers didn't try that hard.

Hahaha Jhon Crybaby Badreau stalls at 99! Our Stanley cup. (pathetic)

We worsen our draft position.

Exclamation point on a very crappy season.

Jesus man. This team has killed you. Your optimism has us seconds away from a Cup win, but a mass shooting cuts down everyone in the rink.

Meh, it’s just a contusion. They don’t have REAL posts at the Saddledome, they were sold off to afford the clean up after that flood.

What's this trickery?

Edmonton Oilers @EdmontonOilers
X-rays on Connor McDavid's left leg came back negative. He will return home with the #Oilers tonight & have an MRI in Edmonton.

Sheesh, this team can’t even tank properly. On the flip side, Connor gets plenty of time to heal assuming that he thumbs his nose at the WHL.

This is exactly what I say to everyone that chirps the Oilers. Tanking is what Buffalo did in the McDavid draft, trading off all their pieces. Edmonton tried but have been run by morons. Incompetent rather than tanking.

Buffalo did the most obvious tank ever trying to get McDavid. Trading away any goalie that had the nerve to make saves. They so deserved to lose that lottery.

I disagree. I think the last 20 games of 2007 were a serious tank job. Play all the kids, shut down all the veterans on whatever bumps and bruises you find, play one man forecheck in all situations...I think Lowe and MacT did push the team in to a swan dive to get Gagner.

I think that helped lose MacT the room and eventually his job (although not a role within the organization unfortunately).

And it didn't make the Oilers better.

I don't believe that 2010-12 were tanks, and the Oilers clearly said before the Eakins era that they expected to quickly climb the standings (except of course they didn't).

Arizona too. Dubnyk screwed them over hard, playing well above what they hoped he was capable of. Hilariously, they won all the games against the Oilers that season...had they lost those, they would have at least had Eichel. Now they don't even have Strome!

So McDavid was just walking around on his own for the exit interviews. Would give hope if this was any other team, but it's the Oilers, so there is still a non-zero chance that he could need his leg amputated tonight.

Was it just me or after McDavid went down and Drai already had 50 he seemed to have no real interest in getting another goal or 2 to try and capture the Rocket? Didn't really seem to try that much in the 3rd, especially with the net empty. Just seems odd to be so close to an award like that and not really care

Imagine he and most of the guys were probably thinking about McDavid and, and maybe even the screams they heard as he was being helped off.

Flames too were coasting the rest of the game for the most part.

Have we got an injury update on this yet?

He was walking around fine today, no crutches. So optimistic but still going to have a MRI to rule out any issues.

Ya seemed like that was the case, still if it were me I woulda gone for it

Late in the 3rd LD lofted a high one from the Oilers side of center that looked like it might have a chance but was knocked down by a Calgary D.

Rishaug tweeted: “Sounds like the MRI results were encouraging today for McDavid “.

I’m almost off of suicide watch.

WheatNOil @WheatNOil

18/19 Season, 5x5 only, from @NatStatTrick

McDavid without Drai or Nuge
216 minutes, 47.7% CF, 42.9% shots, 31.6% goals, 44.1% xG

Drai without McDavid or Nuge
489 minutes, 44.9% CF, 44.9% shots, 40% goals, 44.6% xG

I'm not 100% sure McDavid was carrying Draisaitl this year.

lol, dat wing depth. You know it's bad when you can crater McDavid that bad. Those are worse that "Drai can't drive a line" stats that McDavid had this year without one of Drai or Nuge.

There was a time when McDavid sort of carried Drai but he transformed this season into a real star in his own right. The guy can do it all and has become a treat to watch. Good core to build on if they can just fill out the line up with some better depth guys.

Oilers are getting 2nd and 3rd opinions on McDavid's injury according to Friedman today. Start holding your breath again!

No no no no no. I do not accept this. He was walking around just fine. We all saw it. Shut up. Jesus mercy. If I have to watch another losing season of losers, but this time without McDavid....

I’d rather they be absolutely sure. You don’t mess around with this kid.

Crossing my fingers we are all good.
